From the President…
Greetings Optimist Friends,
We are blessed with so many members who are hard workers, with a joyful heart. I wish to thank everyone for being a member of our club and your contributions to our community.
Thank you, committee chairs and board members. It is always a pleasure to work with you. This 2015-2016 board is really committed to continually improving an already exceptional club. We will have some exciting news to deliver in 2016.
We end this year grateful for what we have, and what we have done. Let us look forward with joy and enthusiasm to all that we will accomplish in the coming year.
Let us continually pray for our country, families, members, those who serve us, and those we serve. We will be forever grateful and faithful to our God. And may our God bless you all.

Chili Dinner…
The Optimist Annual Chili Dinner will be on Friday, January 22, 2016 this year. Please mark your calendars. It is held at the Menomonee Falls High School cafeteria from 4:30 pm to 7:30 pm. The cost is $6.50 per adult and kids under 4 are free. Tickets will be available in the cafeteria on the night of the event. Kirsten Sperl will have signup sheets circulating soon. The boys will be playing Brookfield Central that evening.
This is a big money maker for our club, and we are asking all members to try to sell 8 tickets if possible. You can pick up your tickets at the meetings to save our club postage, or they will be mailed to you soon.
Questions can be directed to the Chili Dinner Chairperson, Kirsten Sperl @ 262-844-7984 (cell).

The quote of the month is by Jay Leno:
“With all of the hurricanes, tornadoes, fires out of control, mud slides, terrible flooding, as well as severe thunderstorms tearing up the country from one end to another, and with the threat of bird flu and terrorist attacks, are we sure this is a good time to take
God out of the Pledge of Allegiance?”
