Optimist Oratorical Contest logoThe annual club Oratorical Contest was held on Wednesday, March 21st, 2018, at North Middle School.  Seven students participated.  Speeches between 4 to 5 minutes were given on the topic “Where are My Roots of Optimism” and were scored based on Poise, Content of Speech, Delivery & Presentation, and Overall Effectiveness.   The student achieving the highest score was Rohitha Punathil, followed by Beth Katzman and Raghav Pandya.  Rohitha will advance to the Zone contest being held on Saturday, April 7th at Sussex Public Library.  We wish all much success.  Rohitha, Beth, and Raghav will be attending a future club meeting to receive their cash award and present their speeches to the membership.
