We’re sorry to say the 2021 July 3rd Parade has been cancelled. This wonderful community event will be missed this year, and look forward to planning for 2022!
However, the fireworks are a go! The Village has worked out most of the details for the July 3rd display. The fireworks will launch in the same general location as prior years, but just south of the new soccer field (so new turf isn’t damaged). Fireworks will begin at 9:30 p.m. and last approximately 30 minutes.
The Optimist Club organizes and finances the Independence Day Parade which is always held on the evening of July 3rd at 7:00 pm. This extravagant parade, attended by over 25,000 viewers, costs the club approximately $20,000 to bring in marching bands and special parade groups and the club pays them anywhere from $100 – $3000 to participate in our parade. The Optimist Club greatly appreciates all the financial support from our “Super Sponsors:” The Village of Menomonee Falls, Knights of Columbus, Malkins Carpeting, Cousins Subs, Rainbow Childcare and Harley Davidson—and any additional support from members of the community who generously give to the Bucket Brigade as they walk the parade route, grateful for any and all donations they receive. The Club also devotes a lot of volunteer hours to making cotton candy and popcorn and selling both along the parade route to help finance the parade!!
The Independence Day Parade is the largest of the three parades held in Menomonee Falls. This parade is very well attended and precedes the annual fireworks display held at Menomonee Falls High School. The parade route starts on Appleton Avenue at Elm Lane and proceeds southeast to Woosencraft Drive, finishing on Titan Drive.
Independence Day Parade participants should submit their entry form at least 45 days prior to the date of the parade.
Mail any applicable fees due to Menomonee Falls Optimist Club, Attn: Steve Fleming, PO Box 627, Menomonee Falls, WI 53052.
